We kept running into the same thing. A show goes on sale in London at a price that's hard to justify, and the same artist is playing the same set in Warsaw, Lisbon or Antwerp for a fraction of it. Ticket sites show you tickets. Flight sites show you flights. Nothing puts the two together and tells you the obvious thing: for what you'd spend on one night at home, you could have the whole weekend somewhere else.
So we started working it out. Finding the shows where it stacks up, checking the numbers, and putting the best ones in one place each week.
What Detour does.
Every trip here is one show, costed properly. The ticket, the flight and a night away, added into a single number, next to what the same ticket costs at home.
Sometimes that number is lower. Often it's close enough that the difference buys you a city you've never been to. Both are worth knowing, and neither is something a ticket site will ever tell you.

Every trip is checked by hand. Real dates, real prices, no algorithmic filler. If it doesn't stack up, it doesn't go up.
Live music is worth travelling for. The best way to see a show often isn't in your own city, and a concert is one of the better reasons to spend a weekend somewhere new. That's the whole idea.
How we pick.
A trip makes the list when the full cost works: ticket, flight and accommodation, against a standard ticket to the same show at home. Sometimes that's a straight saving. Sometimes it's level, and the weekend comes free. What doesn't go up is anything where you'd pay meaningfully more to travel than to stay put.
